FTSE4GOOD: PIRELLI 100/100 ESG RATING IS CONFIRMED

The FTSE4Good Semi-Annual June 2015 Review conducted by FTSE has reconfirmed Pirelli in the share indices for responsible investment of the London Stock Exchange FTSE4Good – Automobile & Parts – with a top ESG rating of 100 points out of 100 for the fourth year in a row.

The FTSE4Good Series is designed to help investors integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into their investments.

The indices identify companies that better manage ESG risks and are used as a basis for tracker funds, structured products and as a performance benchmark.

The ESG Ratings are used by investors who wish to incorporate ESG factors into their investment decision making processes, or as a framework for corporate engagement and stewardship.

Ford Green Pillar Award goes to Pirelli

During the annual World Excellence Awards, Ford Global Purchasing Vice President Hau Thai-Tang awarded Pirelli with the Green Pillar Award, recognizing Pirelli’s leadership in sustainability and support of Ford’s “Reinventing Green” brand pillar, featuring technologies that create safer, more eco-friendly and quality products to enhance the overall vehicle experience.

Pirelli: Kirov Tyre Plant awarded for investments attraction and environment protection

Kirov Tyre Plant has been awarded as the Best Region Enterprise by Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Kirov region Government.

During the award ceremony held in Kirov on April 26^th, Pirelli’s great business results and Corporate Social Responsibility have been highlighted.

Kirov Tyre Plant was recognized as the best in the region in two nominations: “Investments attraction into the regional economy” in appreciation of Pirelli investment activities in 2014 giving positive impact not only on Kirov Tyre Plant results, but on the regional economy in general, and “Significant contribution to the environment protection” given on the results of year 2014 for the constant adherence to sustainability principles.

Diplomas signed by Vyatka Chamber of Commerce President and Kirov region Governor were handed to Kirov Tyre Plant General Manager Mikhail Chuvakin by Kirov region Governor Deputy. In his acceptance speech Mikhail Chuvakin thanked regional authorities and the Chamber of Commerce and declared: “It is surely success of all KTP team; we have achieved a lot by now, but still there is much to do. We will keep promoting and integrating the principles of continuous improvement following Pirelli sustainability guiding principles”.
