Pirelli P1 wins the tyre sector’s most coveted recognition in China

On 2 August in  Shanghai, the magazine Motor Trend bestowed on our Cinturato P1 the  ‘2012 Environmentally Friendly Tyre of China’ title,  attributing to the tyre totally unique characteristics of efficiency and sustainability.

During voting, issues were examined such as how the tyre can carry out an important role in reducing harmful emissions and how the tyre manufacturers can optimise their ethical and social responsibility practices to best help a ‘sustainable circulation’ of traffic.

PORSCHE HONOURS PIRELLI WITH 2011 SUPPLIER AWARD

We have won the 2011 Porsche Supplier Award for the great results we have achieved as the company’s supplier. In Munich, Pirelli was presented with its award in the Material for Production category for its commitment and reliability in the management of new projects.

Jewel in the crown of development of the latest versions of the Porsche Carrera and Boxster, the extraordinary flexibility of Pirelli in the fulfilment of requests was underlined in the citation.

“We are very pleased with this award and proud to be among the best suppliers to Porsche”, said Pirelli’s chief technical officer Maurizio Boiocchi. “It is recognition that gives us great motivation, especially in the pursuit of our objective of becoming world leader in the premium segment by 2015”.

Pirelli China receives the Best Enterprise Brand Image Award


Last Wednesday (20 June) Pirelli was presented with a prestigious prize in Peking: it was the 2012 Best Enterprise Brand Image Award at the summit on finance, one of the most important business events of the year.

China’s growing economic strength was the main theme of the event, which focused on four key elements: green, innovation, reputation and development. During the summit, the results were discussed of the great improvements that have been made in China as a protagonist, with the spotlight on the progress of the green economy, innovation of businesses and sustainable development.

In this context, Pirelli has taken great steps forward in reinforcing the notoriety of its brand, as it has with its reputation, partly as a result of its involvement in motor sport sponsorship and our marketing activity.

Factors which have made a tremendous contribution to China’s economic development.
