First ever tyres with FSC®-certified forest-based materials
After producing the first ever tyres1 with FSC®-certified natural rubber in 2021, we are implementing the FSC® strategy on an industrial scale so that by 2026, all natural rubber4 used in Pirelli’s European factories will be FSC®-certified.

Why it’s important

At Pirelli, we are committed to no deforestation and the responsible procurement of natural rubber.
FSC® is today one of the most rigorous and trusted forest certification systems, as well as one of the most recognised worldwide5.

What’s at stake

FSC® certification confirms that natural rubber comes from responsibly managed forests that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local communities and workers.
FSC® certification indicates:
Conservation of biodiversity and responsible forest management.
Benefits for workers and local communities.
Separation of certified and non-certified material, from plantation to tyre manufacturer.
