PAGANI
This is the essence of Horacio Pagani's thinking. The Italian-Argentinian designer turned his passion for cars into a profession, manufacturing prestige cars that are as exclusive as sporty.
Each year, very few units exit the workshop in San Cesario sul Panaro, in the province of Modena, with every car built to order. The collaboration with Pirelli is a close one and Pagani’s words perfectly sum up a relationship that goes far beyond technical collaboration: “We started working with Pirelli in 2008. We immediately got on well. We soon achieved great results, setting the record at the Nürburgring. The important thing, I think, was working to try to find a very safe tire for cars such as ours, with a rear engine. We needed to have a reliable tire, one that could tell you what the car was doing. Because you can have thought about everything when designing a car, but what keeps it on the ground is actually our friend Pirelli”.

ZONDA

  • Traction on the rear axle alone means focusing on the compounds to ensure the correct balance of grip on the two axles
  • For this reason, the front compound is medium-hard, to facilitate steering, while the high rigidity of the carcass makes for much more linear, balanced handling
