A spirit of intense collaboration has linked Pirelli and Maserati for a long time, in both the racing world and production sphere: a collaboration that has played an important part in shaping the sporting tradition of Pirelli tyres. Juan Manuel Fangio is the greatest ambassador for the Pirelli-Maserati partnership: the Pirelli-clad 250F driven by the Argentinian won the 1957 World Championship, thus repeating the feat already achieved in 1954. After the F1® Championships of the 50s, the oil crisis of the 70s and its long-term negative effect on prestige cars, it was in the new century that Maserati would rise once more. Its participation in racing was a natural step and it was in this way, side by side with Pirelli, that the Trofeo Maserati was created. The DNA of the Maserati-Pirelli pairing led to the FIA-GT Championship.
The irreplaceable experience gained in racing is still the light that guides the technologies of these two prestigious Italian brands.
