The Pirelli Scorpion™ XC tyres are the result of a close collaboration between professional riders and Pirelli's R&D team. RACE XC
Our most advanced XC-specific formulation, engineered by our Motorsport Compounding Department to deliver the ultimate balance of speed, grip, and controlled damping. Developed in Italy at our Milan-based facility, this cutting-edge compound is designed for peak performance, enhancing traction, responsiveness, and ride efficiency to ensure a superior experience across every section of the race.
Casings: LITE for speed
and ProWALL for protection
The Pirelli Scorpion™ XC tyres feature two advanced casing options designed to meet the needs of different riding styles.
LITE
The LITE casing is a lightweight and flexible structure designed to maximize speed, handling, and overall ride feel. Featuring a 120 TPI nylon casing without additional sidewall protection, this construction is specifically engineered for cross-country applications and lighter riders. It offers an ideal balance between performance and weight, ensuring quicker accelerations and more responsive handling on a variety of terrains.
ProWALL
The ProWALL casing incorporates a nylon sidewall protection that enhances puncture resistance and improves handling at lower air pressures. This makes it an excellent option for XC racing and trail riding, depending on the casing construction (either 60 TPI or 120 TPI). The added sidewall reinforcement offers greater durability and confidence, especially on rugged trails or during aggressive riding, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
