The Pirelli P Zero Experience 2022 made a stop in Germany on 29 June and attract-ed over 50 hobby racers to the Hockenheimring. This was because the premium tyre manufacturer's unique Track Day concept offered them the chance to drive their su-per sports cars safely to the limit on the legendary Formula 1 circuit. In addition, test drives as well as hotlaps with the latest supercars from Aston Martin, McLaren, Lam-borghini and Pagani provided additional adrenaline rushes and lots of fun for the guests.

"With our P Zero Experience, we offer high-speed enthusiasts the extraordinary op-portunity to feel the thrill of a drive on a famous Formula 1 circuit and thus hit the nerve of the target group," said a delighted Wolfgang Meier, Chairman of the Man-agement Board of Pirelli Deutschland GmbH, Breuberg. "This year, the interest in taking part was once again much greater than the limited number of places available for safety reasons."

The safety briefing was given by renowned Formula 1 expert and TV commentator Christian Danner. In addition, he gave the participants valuable tips throughout the day and answered numerous questions about tyres, driving technique and, of course, Formula 1. "Unlike in conventional road traffic, on the race track you learn very quickly how closely the performance of a vehicle is linked to the performance of its tyres," the motorsport expert emphasized. "That's why a special attraction of the P Zero Experience is to teach the guests, under expert guidance, what high-quality tyres are capable of and how you can optimize their performance even further by using the right inflation pressure and temperature."

They were given the relevant advice at the tyre check stations by Pirelli product ex-perts, who carried out tyre checks and offered fitting services.

Traditionally, a typical P Zero Experience does not only include racing in one's own super sports car. Those who wanted could take a seat in an Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition, a Mclaren 720S Coupé, a Lamborghini Huracan EVO Coupé or a Pagani Huayra Roadster BC, among others, to complete a fast lap alongside a professional driving instructor - or to enjoy an unforgettable hot lap as a co-driver. For each of the models presented there, Pirelli develops and produces custom-made P Zero and P Zero Trofeo R tyres.

The accompanying programme was just as exclusive as the action on the track. In addition to the all-day five-star catering for the guests, this included the presentation of the selected Pirelli tyres including product training as well as the special experi-ence of the brand in the Pirelli Lounge. The presentation there was in the spirit of the 150th anniversary, which the group is celebrating this year.
