Business ethics, attention to human rights, occupational health and safety policies and programmes, (metterei organizational structure), and ESG management of the supply chain are just some of the areas in which Pirelli achieved the highest score in S&P Global's 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment. These results contributed to the company securing first place globally in the Auto Components and Automobiles sectors of the S&P Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices, the new name given this year to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.
With an overall score of 86 points, Pirelli achieved the highest score in both the Auto Components and Automobiles categories, also standing out against the sector averages of 34 and 37 points respectively.
The only tyre company included in both indices, Pirelli added to its distinction in February 2026 by becoming the only company in the sector to be included in the Top 1% of S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook 2026.
Originally launched in 1999, the S&P Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices were the first global best-in-class sustainability benchmarks on the market. Today, the annual assessment covers more than 12,000 companies operating across 62 different sectors.
