Summer is a time for outdoor get-togethers and adventures, and Pirelli will once again be partaking in one such gathering, this time for the Audi Club Nationals event. Hosted by Audi Club North America, the ‘original social network’ for Audi enthusiasts, the Audi Club Nationals is a yearly four-day event in August that aims to draw together the community for driving in beautiful locales.
Pirelli supports Audi Club North America
Audi Club North America is the largest club for Audi owners and enthusiasts in the world, counting 10,000 members in the US and Canada. The organization holds 300 events across 30 states annually focused on the Audi ownership experience, such as tech sessions, social events, race viewing events, driver education and rallies.
With the Audi brand’s likeminded focus on innovation and luxurious, comfortable driving, Pirelli is a proud sponsor of Audi Club NA; for example, supporting events like a welcome lunch for members at Chateau Ste. Michelle, an award winning historic chateau on a vineyard near Seattle, Washington.
The history of the ‘long P’ and ‘four rings’
Pirelli has a long history working collaboratively with the German manufacturer, whose motto is "Vorsprung durch Technik" [Progress through Technology], equipping latest generation models like the Audi A6, A7 Sportback, A8, RS5 Coupe in the grand touring class, as well as its RS4 Avant sibling.
This ultimately forms part of Pirelli’s Perfect Fit strategy, where we work comprehensively with our counterparts at manufacturers like Audi to create a bespoke tire specifically for a car model, which is perfectly designed to optimize that model’s engineering and therefore performance capabilities.
Altogether Pirelli has achieved more than 200 homologations with Audi worldwide, and look forward to continuing this collaboration on the road and track.
