MINI Cars, Maximum Driving
Pirelli will be celebrating the unique curvature of the American landscape once again, this time with MINI for MINI TAKES THE STATES (MTTS). MTTS is an epic two-pronged rally challenge for MINI drivers that starts simultaneously from the East and West coasts of the United States; then all drive inland over six days to converge at the ‘middle' in the majestic Rocky Mountains in Keystone, Colorado.

The MTTS Experience
MTTS started in 2006 and is a biennial event designed to provide an unforgettable experience for MINI owners and enthusiasts all over the United States.

All MINI drivers will drive through 15 cities in six days, and therefore experience a diverse range of breathtaking scenery along the way in their rally from the mountains to the valleys! Whether it's traversing the famous Mississippi River on the West Coast route or the all-encompassing red backdrop of the Mojave Desert en route to Santa Fe on the East! Pirelli is all about enjoying a safe, comfortable and high performing driving adventure and MINI drivers will be able to experience exactly that, navigating many twists and turns on the road through the United States' melting pot of different cultures, influences and landscapes.

For the East Coast Route, participants drive from Orlando to the cities of Tallahassee, New Orleans, Little Rock, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Dodge City respectively.

West Coast Rally goers will drive through the cities of Portland, Ashland, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Flagstaff and Santa Fe.

Each day's driving ranges from 6-8 hours and each city or stopping point is memorable in its own way, whether for its landscape or contribution to American identity. For instance, you can truly feel the pioneering spirit in Dodge City, which is famous in American culture for its history as a ‘wild frontier town' of the Old West. Then there's New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz and what's considered the ‘most unique' city in the US thanks to its Creole cuisine and live music scene; Dallas or the ‘Big D' for its big stadiums, big cowboy hats and ‘big hair' synonymous with America's cowboy spirit; Tallahassee city with its Native American roots with name meaning “Old Fields”; or New Mexico's state capital Santa Fe, renowned for its Pueblo-style architecture and being a hotbed for the creative arts.

The final stop is in Keystone, Colorado, where the Rocky Mountains form a picturesque backdrop for the two-day MTTS finale celebration. Keystone runs along the Continental Divide, so it is a fitting destination for East and West to join together. Keystone is popular year-round, both for skiers in winter and adventure seekers in summer, thanks to its golf courses and hiking trails.
