In addition to experience gained in partnerships with prestige and premium car manufacturers, the most recent comparison test conducted by the independent publication Tyre Reviews placed the P Zero R at number one among 2026 performance tyres, describing its result as an “impressive win” thanks to its dry and wet performance.
P Zero R and P Zero Trofeo RS: Pirelli's range for sportscars
The P Zero family represents the highest expression of Pirelli's technological innovation, conceived to deliver safety and long lasting performance. The P Zero R has been developed primarily for sportscars and the most powerful prestige segment models, while the P Zero Trofeo RS is designed to ensure maximum track performance for sportscars and supercars, while remaining approved for road use.
The P Zero R, thanks to newly designed compounds, provides excellent grip on different types of asphalt and in varied weather conditions, with particular attention to wet handling, while the tread pattern reduces noise. This versatility is mainly achieved through the selection of materials used in the tread compound. The performance of the P Zero R has recently been confirmed by Tyre Reviews, which named it the best among eight ultra high performance summer tyres in size 235/35 R19. It ranked number one in both dry braking and dry handling. In wet testing, it won the wet handling trial and achieved top positions in braking: “it gives great confidence even in extreme driving conditions,” noted Tyre Reviews.

Refined using simulators at the Bicocca R&D Centre, which enable the virtual development of new products, the new sizes are manufactured using MIRS (Modular Integrated Robot System) robots and the most advanced innovations dedicated to ultra high performance tyre production. MIRS technology is used at the Italian plant in Settimo Torinese and at the US facility in Rome, Georgia, where production of the new replacement range for the American market is concentrated—particularly for local manufacturers' sportscars and muscle cars.
