The Cinturato All Season SF3 has claimed the top spot in the comparative test by the British magazine Auto Express, outperforming six competitors in a challenge between tyres in this category, purchased directly from the market in size 225/45 R17. Since its launch, Pirelli's all-season tyre dedicated to premium vehicles — from sedans to CUVs has earned 18 podiums out of 19 independent comparative tests in which it participated, winning no fewer than 13 of them. Once again, the Cinturato All Season SF3 dominated the rankings, The magazine explained that it "offered excellent performance on all fronts, proving itself to be the quintessential all-season product.” It never placed outside the top three, finishing first in four tests and second in four others, with excellent performance in all conditions.
On snow, excellent braking was recorded, and the tyre achieved first position in traction and handling. "With Pirelli tyres, the car is composed and truly inspires confidence," writes Auto Express, commenting on the handling test, "which contributes to remarkable consistency: all three timed laps had very similar times, differing by just a tenth of a second."
On wet surfaces, the test revealed the product's effectiveness on the handling circuit as well, "where the sensations were excellent, with exceptional grip on entry and at the mid-corner point." This result was reinforced by second place in wet braking and two excellent results in aquaplaning: first in the curved test and second on the straight.
On dry surfaces, the Cinturato All Season SF3 achieved first place in braking, stopping from a speed of 100 km/h in 36.9 metres: 1.3 metres before the second-best tyre and almost 3 metres before the third. It then placed second on the handling circuit. Added to all this is the excellent quietness on all surfaces and effective rolling resistance.
The multi-award-winning Cinturato All Season SF3
The Cinturato All Season SF3, the most recent update of Pirelli's all-season tyre for medium and compact cars designed for those who drive predominantly in the city, has contributed to Pirelli being recognised as "Best All-Season Manufacturer of the Year". This accolade came from both the German motoring club, Automobilclub von Deutschland (AvD), and the prestigious German magazine AutoBild, following numerous victories in independent comparative tests, confirming Pirelli's leadership in the all-season tyre segment. The development of the Cinturato All Season SF3 was based on virtual modelling techniques from the Pirelli R&D centre, a solution that allowed for the parallel study of all variables such as compounds, tread pattern, and the distribution of physical stress on the tyre.
The next-generation compound uses advanced polymers and high-precision moulding, benefiting uniformity and durability. The result is low rolling resistance and contained noise levels, as certified by the European label in class A B.
The directional tread design, with wide grooves and adaptive 3D sipes, changes its geometry with wear — from linear to zigzag — guaranteeing constant grip even on snow. This versatility was confirmed by Dekra tests, which named the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 the best in its category for cumulative braking (the sum of performance on dry, wet, and snow) and recognised by the TÜV SÜD body, which awarded it the Performance Mark thanks to its high performance in diverse driving situations.
