A new concept of versatility has arrived in the world of road cycling: Pirelli introduces the Cinturato EVO TLR, the first tyre to create an entirely new market segment: road enduro. A direct evolution of the Cinturato Velo – one of the most popular models since 2018 – this new version significantly improves grip, comfort, and durability, offering maximum reliability. Designed to tackle every type of terrain and resist punctures, it is engineered to ensure high performance in all weather and road conditions.
At the core of the Cinturato EVO TLR's performance is Smart EVO AS, Pirelli Cycling's most advanced compound in terms of grip, vibration absorption, and durability. This cutting-edge compound offers high grip in all seasons and on multiple surfaces, improving comfort and handling thanks to its enhanced ability to absorb road imperfections and dampen vibrations**.
Manufactured in Italy, at Pirelli's Milan-Bollate plant, the Cinturato EVO TLR is a tubeless-ready tyre designed for road use, commuting and gravel. Available sizes range from 28-622 up to 55-622, catering to those who seek smooth rolling even off-asphalt, without sacrificing a slick design. Its robustness also makes it suitable for urban environments, ideal for commutes or rides outside the city.

BIO-BASED AND RECYCLED* MATERIALSAND FSC™ CERTIFIED RUBBER
Another distinguishing aspect of the Cinturato EVO TLR is its composition: it boasts over 50% bio-based and recycled materials*, as certified by the independent third-party Bureau Veritas according to the ISO 14021 standard.
In addition, it features FSC™ certification***, related to the responsible management of the natural rubber supply chain contained in the tyre, an exclusive for Pirelli in the sector.
The FSC™ logo is globally recognised as a mark of environmental and social responsibility and quality. FSC™ certification ensures a transparent, controlled, and verifiable supply chain, thereby helping to promote responsible forestry practices, which are fundamental for protecting biodiversity and conserving natural ecosystems. The FSC™ standards also address social aspects, safeguarding the rights of workers and local communities living in forest areas, and promoting fair working conditions and local development.
This dual certification – environmental and social – represents a unique achievement in the current landscape of bicycle tyres, confirming Pirelli's commitment to more sustainable mobility, without compromising performance.
As a tool for transparency towards users, Pirelli has also created its own logo to identify models that contain at least 50% bio-based and recycled materials. The mark, which depicts two arrows in a circle, aims to highlight Pirelli's commitment to the circular economy, alongside and in addition to the high level of safety performance of the tyre. This logo will therefore also be affixed to the new Cinturato EVO TLR bicycle tyres, in addition to the FSC™ logo.

TECHNOLOGY DERIVED FROM MOTORCYCLE EXPERIENCE
The tread of the new Cinturato EVO TLR is inspired by one of Pirelli's top motorcycle tyres for road enduro: the SCORPION Trail III. The similarity in use between the two products both designed for road and adventure use in their respective fields—made a targeted transfer of technology possible from the renowned motorcycle tyre to the cycling world.
In fact, like its motorised two-wheel counterpart, the new Cinturato EVO TLR is primarily intended for asphalt use but features a siping geometry designed to also tackle gravel roads.
Pirelli has, therefore, re-engineered the tread of the SCORPION Trail III specifically for bicycle use, purposefully distributing the voids and solids along the profile. Compared to the traditional geometries of more "racing" road tyres, the Cinturato EVO TLR tread features a slick central band for a robust, rigid footprint, ensuring mileage and tear resistance. However, it also has more sculpted shoulders to assist the compound in providing greater grip on wet or slippery surfaces. The design, rich in sipes and edges, increases grip on surfaces that aren't necessarily asphalt, such as those typical of gravel.
The optimisation of the contact patch and the new construction also contribute to a significant improvement in abrasion resistance, resulting in a 40% increase in mileage** compared to the original Cinturato Velo, for the same tread thickness.
The new Cinturato EVO TLR is already available on-line and at leading cycling stores in sizes 28-622, 30-622, 32-622, 35-622, and 40-622 in a black version. For sizes 28, 30, and 32, it's also available in Classic and Retro versions. Wider sizes will also be available during the season: 45-622, 50-622, and 55-622.
Notes:
* Only through a physical segregation approach. Depending on the tyre size, the content of bio-based and recycled materials varies between approximately 25% and 27% respectively. Bio-based materials include natural rubber, biochemicals, and vegetable oils, while recycled materials include silica derived from rice husks and recycled nylon.
