GP: India
Date: 27 October 2013
Winner: Sebastian Vettel - Red Bull Renault

It was to be the last of three races held in India and Sebastian Vettel won all three of them, at this one clinching his fourth world championship title.

For Seb, born in Heppenheim, Germany on 3 July 1987, it brought the curtain down on a golden age driving a perfect Red Bull.

His time in Formula 1 had begun with Sauber-BMW in 2007 and a year later, on a wet track he took his first win in Monza with Toro Rosso.

He drove for Red Bull from 2009 to 2014, before racing for Ferrari from 2015 to 2020, ending his career at Aston Martin in 2022.

His palmares records 4 world titles, 63 wins and 57 pole positions from 300 GP starts.

From 2010 to 2013, his great rival was Ferrari's Fernando Alonso during which time the German beat him by 4 titles to nil.

That statistic hides the Spaniard's true worth, as he came so close to the crown in two seasons, but had his hopes dashed by a terrible strategy call from Ferrari in Abu Dhabi in 2010 and then by a stroke of luck for Vettel in Brazil in 2012.

Alonso was born in Oviedo on 24 July 1981, winning the championship with Renault in 2005 and 2006, a double Le Mans winner in 2018 and 2019.

He has always demonstrated great talent and determination and 2025 is the Aston Martin driver's 22nd season in F1.
