GP: Italy
Date: 3 September 2023
Winner: Max Verstappen - Red Bull-Honda

Miami, Monaco, Spain, Canada, Austria, Great Britain, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy. Max Verstappen won all ten of them in a row between 7 May and 3 September 2023.

It beat a record of nine consecutive wins held jointly by Sebastian Vettel and Alberto Ascari.

Ferrari had dared to dream of glory at home, after Carlos Sainz took pole, but the Red Bull steamroller continued. In second place, Sergio Perez made it their sixth one-two finish of the season, another record.

Sainz finished third ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc.

And Max hadn't finished yet. By the end of the year, he had won 19 of the 22 races, while Red Bull's total was 21, as Perez also won in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan.

Sainz was the only man to prevent a clean sweep, with a win in Singapore.

Verstappen clinched his third title with six races in hand, just like Michael Schumacher had done in 2002, thus joining two exclusive clubs, the one for those who had three championship crowns to their name: Jack Brabham, Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna, the other for drivers who secured three titles on the bounce: Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
