Great attention to governance and to innovation and fiscal management policy. Centrality of environmental management and reporting and the strategy against climate change. Investments in the development of human capital and attraction of talent. These are the main factors behind Pirelli's confirmation, also in 2022, once again as “S & P Gold Class” in the context of the 2022 Sustainability Yearbook 2022.

Pirelli obtained this “gold medal” in the ranking that it produced each year based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment for the S&P Global Dow Jones Sustainability indices. In 2021, in fact, Pirelli was confirmed one of the excellent performers in the Automobiles & Components sector in the context of the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices with a score 77 points compared with the sector average of 31.

The Report from S & P Global this year examined the sustainability profile of over 7,500 companies belonging to over 60 different industrial categories.

Marco Tronchetti Provera, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Pirelli, commented: “We are proud to be reconfirmed Gold Class in the Sustainability Yearbook 2022, also the year of Pirelli's 150th anniversary. This recognition is the result of the commitment of everyone at the company to pursuing a business model based on a growth strategy that is sustainable and long term, with the goal of creating value for all stakeholders.”
