A decarbonisation strategy across the entire value chain, proactive management of risks and opportunities related to climate change. And, furthermore, transparency and clarity in reporting. These are the main elements taken into consideration by the international non-profit organisation, CDP, for Pirelli's inclusion, for the eighth consecutive year, in the Climate ‘A' List 2025 for fighting climate change.
The ‘A' rating, the highest recognition in the Climate section, was awarded to Pirelli among the 22,100 companies taken into consideration, and is part of a context that sees Pirelli committed to the path towards Net Zero by 2040, a target validated by SBTi and supported by initiatives ranging from reducing the carbon footprint in the supply chain to the electrification of machinery in production processes, and the development of innovative and energy-efficient products.
“The confirmation of Pirelli in the CDP Climate ‘A List' is a recognition of our concrete commitment to the fight against climate change and of Pirelli's demonstrated capacity in the management of the risks and opportunities linked to the ecological transition,” stated Giovanni Tronchetti Provera, Executive Vice President Sustainability, New Mobility and Motorsport for Pirelli. He added: “the development and employment of innovative solutions for the mitigation of climate change ensures the continuing improvement of processes and products and contributes to our efforts to achieve our goal of Net Zero by 2040”.
