Pirelli announces that at the Board of Directors meeting scheduled for May 14th 2018, the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Marco Tronchetti Provera, will propose the development of the organization to support the Integrated Business Model, as well as the achievement of the targets of the industrial plan, through greater operational effectiveness. The proposed organization – already shared with the Chairman of the Board of Directors and of which Board Members have been informed – foresees that Executive Vice Chairman and CEO’s direct reports, as well as corporate staff functions and the ‘Regions’ for institutional matters and overall coordination, will include:
- the newly constituted General Management Operations, as head of which Andrea Casaluci will be proposed. He is currently the Executive Vice President in charge of Original Equipment, Region Europe, and the Prestige Business Unit. It is foreseen that the General Manager’s reports will include all the ‘Regions’ and all the organizational units connected with operations’ management, redefined as “Commercial Original Equipment”, “Commercial Replacement”, “Moto, Velo and Motorsport”, “BU Prestige”, “Strategic Marketing”, “Manufacturing, Purchasing and Supply Chain”;
- the “Technology” area, entrusted to Executive Vice President Technology Maurizio Boiocchi, overseeing the functions ‘Technology & Quality” and “Cyber & Innovation”, which will also report to the General Manager in a spirit of close collaboration. Maurizio Boiocchi will also continue to head technical activities and F1 in the context of “Motorsport”;
- the new “Digital” function.
