Born in Rome in 1955.
He graduated in Business Administration at the University of Rome with a degree in Architecture in 1978. In 1983 has received an M.B.A. from the American University in Washington, D.C..
He is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clessidra SGR , the management company of the two closed funds, Clessidra Capital Partners (€820 million) and Clessidra Capital Partners II (€1.1 billion). Clessidra is the major private equity fund focusing on Italy.
Prior to forming Clessidra was Chief Executive Officer of Fininvest S.p.A.
Prior to joining Fininvest was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley & Co., one of the world’s leading investment banks, where he was Head of Investment Banking in Italy.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley he worked for other leading international financial institutions including Barclays Bank, Citibank and Standard Chartered.
