Pirelli PZero has chosen a new location for the presentation of its concept of the brand and mood for autumn/winter 2012/2013 during Pitti Uomo from 10-13 January. PZero is no longer at the prestigious show at the Fortezza, but in the largest conservatory in Italy, built in Florence during the second half of the 19th century in the garden of the Orticoltura, the Tepidarium of engineer Giacomo Roster.
The production projects the heritage of Pirelli into the future, and makes a journey between sartorial brilliance and technology that calls in at food, sound and hi-tech. And here, against this extraordinary backdrop, the top garments of the new men’s collection appear: a Pirelli PZero raincoat in waterproof Prince of Wales check, the inner layer in orange, contrasting threads and special thermal tape stitching and soft touch rubber buttons; the Pirelli PZero bomber in a waxed technical flannel (edgings with technical stitching, stitching under the collar that recalls the internal stitching).
An event within an event, which will see PZero as the protagonist in kinds of performance unique of their type: to the sound of electronic music on classical instruments, a cloudburst of little coloured balloons filled with water suspended in the air above the spectators – without wetting them.
