PIRELLI EXCLUSIVE TYRE SUPPLIER TO THE BLANCPAIN GT SERIES, THE NEW BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ASIA AND THE GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES

Pirelli has a long and illustrious history in endurance racing, and has also claimed a huge variety of class wins in GT racing all over the world.

In 2017 Pirelli will continue to be represented in the front line of GT racing as exclusive tyre supplier to the Blancpain GT Series, that includes the Blancpain Endurance Cup and the Blancpain Sprint Cup, both based on GT3 cars, race versions of road-going supercars.
Manufacturers represented in the championship include Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, all of which use Pirelli P Zero tyres as original equipment on their road cars.

In 2017 Pirelli expands its prestigious GT racing portfolio with the exclusive supply to the new Blancpain GT Series Asia. The inaugural Blancpain GT Series Asia takes in 12 one-hour races over six rounds in four countries, with three of the venues also used for Formula 1.

In these championships Pirelli will supply new P Zero GT tyres: DH slicks and WH wet tyres in various 18-inch sizes to best suit each car model. The new tyres have been designed using advanced technological solutions and taking into account the evolution of the cars by a large number of different car makes competing in the Series.

Pirelli additionally equips the new GT4 European Series, including the Northern and Southern Cups, which uses cars closer to showroom-specification. In particular, GT4 is an important part of Pirelli’s focus on young drivers.
