EMIRATES FORMULA 1 70TH ANNIVERSARY GRAND PRIX 2020 07 - 09 AUG

Rolex British Grand Prix

Silverstone is another challenging track for the tyres, with the new surface laid last year not meeting with universal acclaim: some drivers described it as extremely bumpy. Here, aerodynamics play a more important role than mechanical grip, due to a high average speed. The circuit takes in a variety of very high-speed corners with some slower and more complex sections. There is always a risk of rain in Silverstone but when dry, temperatures can be quite high, meaning that a versatile compound choice is required for this track.
