The latest Cyber innovation for track day enthusiasts has been officially presented during the second edition of the P Zero Experience that took place on June 15th and 16th at the exclusive location of the Mugello circuit. Two days of fun in which Track Adrenaline has been made available for preview on the most prestigious supercars: 2 Porsche GT3 and 2 McLaren 600LT have been equipped with the high-performance telemetry and tyre control system.
The innovative system is composed by: a control unit based on a sophisticated GPS technology to ensure location precision, trajectories definition and lap time measurements, the ultra-low profile racing tyres P ZeroTM Trofeo R equipped with sensors to monitor tyre pressure and temperature, and the Track Adrenaline App which is the user interface freely downloadable from the App Store. Collecting telemetry information such as lap and split times, predictive lap time, best lap and combining them with data coming directly from the tyres, Track Adrenaline allows to increase tyre management efficiency on the track for an enhanced driving performance.
Designed for those who would like to have a professional trainer during their session on the circuit, someone telling them how to adapt driving behavior to make the most out of their powerful car. Someone delivering tips to approach the circuit in the best way and recommending when the tyres are too cold and it’s better to do a warm-up lap, when tyres are in the optimal conditions to push the performance, or even more when a quick stop at the pits is recommended to easily adjust the pressure using the digital gauge provided by the App. And the experience does not end after the session on the track as all data are saved on the Cloud and can be relived anytime thanks to the Analysis section: best and ideal lap, maximum and average speed, lateral and longitudinal forces, tyre conditions during the lap are amongst the information provided to the user, together with a Replay mode to compare different sessions.
All this is Track Adrenaline: a virtual track engineer that helps users to set the optimal tyre conditions before going on the circuit and allows to analyse and compare sessions to constantly improve the driving performance. This is what Pirelli dealers and customers had the chance to try for the first time during the “hot laps” and “test drive” of the second Italian P Zero Experience. The system will be firstly available in Italy, Belgium, Germany and UK on 7 P Zero Trofeo R sizes.
