Burton Upon Trent, September 4, 2012 – Pirelli will support Ferrari North Europe at Silverstone next weekend as part of its annual Ferrari Racing Days event that will also feature rounds of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and the Pirelli Ferrari Open (14-16 September).

Since the debut of the Ferrari Open, Italian tyre firm Pirelli has been the series’ exclusive tyre supplier and, in 2011, the Ferrari 458 Challenge made its debut in the fourteen-round series. This season has also welcomed the Ferrari F355, 360 and 430 onto the grid. A fantastic grid of thirty Pirelli Ferrari Open cars will battle it out on the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit next week.

Pirelli UK Managing Director Dominic Sandivasci commented: “Pirelli has always been the exclusive supplier to the Ferrari Open here in the UK and helps symbolise the long-standing relationship between the two Italian companies. In 2011, the Ferrari 458 Challenge made its debut in the Open and Pirelli developed slick and wet tyres in dedicated sizes for front and rear, both of which have proved highly competitive in this year’s series. Pirelli is looking forward to playing an important role in what is expected to be a great day out next weekend.”

Advanced weekend tickets are available for only £15 per person, with children (aged 15 years and under) free of charge. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the event for £15 per day and £20 for the weekend per person.
