FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GROSSER PREIS DER STEIERMARK 2020 10 - 12 JUL

Pirelli Grosser Preis der Steiermark

Austria re-joined the calendar in 2014, having been absent since 2003. As the Red Bull  Ring in its latest incarnation, it now features two main straights and mostly sharp corners. As a result, average speeds are generally low, meaning that the cars have to rely on mechanical grip from the tires more than aerodynamic downforce. Because most of the corners are right-handers, the tires on the left of the car do the majority of the work. However, the pair of corners that actually take the most  energy out of the tires are the two left-handers.
