Pirelli has set a new record of nearly one homologation per day, every day, throughout 2015 and now into 2016. Pirelli came to the 86th Geneva Motor Show with this unique achievement thanks to the perfect tire fit strategy, equipping – as usual – the most prestigious and eagerly-anticipated models with bespoke tires: the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso, Lamborghini Centenario, Pagani Huayra Bc, McLaren 570S GT, BMW 7 Series, Maserati Levante, Jaguar F-Pace, Audi R8 Spyder, plus futuristic concept cars such as the latest creation from Giugiaro.
The increase in tailor-made tire development for specific vehicles – at the heart of Pirelli’s commercial and industrial perfect fit strategy – means that there are now approximately 2200 Pirelli homologated cars in circulation. This is an increase of 20% over last September, when Pirelli broke the 2000 barrier at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This trend has continued throughout the first two months of 2016, making Pirelli the technical partner of choice for the world’s leading car manufacturers when it comes to future vehicle development.
