The FTSE4Good Indexes

FTSE is an independent company owned by The Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange.
The FTSE4Good Index Series has been designed by FTSE to measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards and to facilitate investment in those companies.

Transparent management and criteria alongside the FTSE brand make FTSE4Good the index of choice for the creation of Socially Responsible Investment products.

The data used in assessing companies' eligibility for inclusion in the FTSE4Good indices are independently researched by EIRIS.
The starting universe are the FTSE All-share index and the FTSE Developed Europe Index, with the exclusion of tobacco manufacturers, weapon manufacturers, owners or operators of nuclear power stations and those mining or producing uranium.
To be eligible, companies must meet prescribed requirements in the following areas:

  • Working towards environmental sustainability;
  • Developing positive relationships with stakeholders;
  • Upholding and supporting universal human rights.

Pirelli is included in both the Global and the Europe benchmark indexes since 2002.
