Claudio De Conto

Managing Director Finance of Pirelli & C. Real Estate S.p.A.

Born in Milan in 1962.

Degree in Business Economics in 1986 at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.

Following his studies he joined Ernst & Whinney in the UK.

In 1988 he joined the Pirelli Group. After five years in the Group's Treasury department, in 1993 he began a period of international experience in the Administration, Finance and Control areas of the Group's tyre subsidiaries in Brazil, Spain, and Germany.
In particular, between 1996 and 2000 at first he covered the position of Chief Financial Officer of Pirelli Neumaticos S.A. (Spain) and later the one of Chief Financial Officer of Pirelli Deutschland A.G. (Germany).

In 2000 he became Responsible for Administration, Planning and Control of Pirelli S.p.A.

In 2001 he was appointed General Manager Administration and Control of Pirelli S.p.A, a position he maintained in the holding company Pirelli & C. S.p.A. following the merger with Pirelli S.p.A. in August 2003.

In November 2006 he was appointed General Manager of Pirelli & C. S.p.A. Within the Pirelli Group he currently holds, among others, the position of Managing Director for Finance in Pirelli & C. Real Estate S.p.A., member of the Board of Directors of Pirelli Tyre S.p.A. and Chairman of Pirelli Broadband Solutions S.p.A..

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Rcs MediaGroup S.p.A., Cyoptics Inc. and Efibanca Palladio SGR.

Between 2002 and June 2008 he was a member of the International Financial Reporting Interpretation Committee (IFRIC) set up within the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
