Director of Pirelli & C. S.p.A. since April 29, 2008.

Born in Milan in 1957.

Graduated in Economics and Business Administration at the Bocconi University; he is qualified for the profession of registered accountant and is on the Roll of the Milan Registered Accountants. He entered the register of Auditors of Accounts as well.

In 1981 he joined Mediobanca; in 1985 he became operative manager, Executive in 1991, Central Manager in 1997, Deputy General Manager in April 2002, Joint General Manager – Secretary to the Board of Directors in April 2003. Since July 2007 he has been Chairman of the Board of Management and since October 2008 General Manager.

Currently he is also member of the Board of Directors of RCS MediaGroup S.p.A., Telecom Italia S.p.A., Cofactor S.p.A., SelmaBipiemme Leasing S.p.A. and Burgo Group S.p.A., as well as member of the Statutory Auditors of  Istituto Europeo di Oncologia S.r.l..
