FTE
(Full-Time Equivalent) |
A way of counting part-time employees. It involves relating the working
hours of a part-time employee to the working hours of a full-time
employee on a unitary basis. A full-time employee corresponds to 1 FTE
and a 50% part-time employee counts as 0.5 FTE. For example, two 50%
part-time employees equal one full-time employee (FTE = 0.5 x 2 = 1). |
