The Finance function is responsible for planning of strategic business activities connected with financial issues.
It also seeks financial resources according to Group needs and organises their allocation. Finally, it streamlines and co-ordinates the management of internal financial flows.

What does it mean to grow in the FINANCE position?

GENERAL MANAGER FINANCE

Takes company Board responsibility for the financial activities of the Group world-wide. Ensures the provision of the financing necessary to achieve the Group's business plans at minimum cost. Takes responsibility for the quality standards of the accounting and finance functions throughout the Group. Ensures the provision of a financing planning and analysis service to senior management as a basis for effective decision making. Determines the policies of the Group as a part of the Company Board.

INVESTOR RELATION MANAGER

Manages relationships with financial analysts in order to provide correct information regarding the stock market connected to Pirelli Group business and financial statements. Supervises the process for granting Pirelli group a thorough knowledge of stock market and competitors. Manages investment activities (institutional and not).

MERGER & ACQUISITION MANAGER

Supervises management of operations related to Business buying/managing and Join venture. Plans and carries out transactions connected with company equity instruments at Group level. Manages and audits the merger and acquisition operations.

TREASURY MANAGER

Assures forecast management of short term debt of treasury centre to optimize/deduct debt cost at Group level. Manages the activity of Group treasury Specialists. Verifies the relationship with accounting for dates control.

Draws up the definition of bank operations and the allocation of financial resources to Pirelli Group subsidiaries. He controls financial reporting and "tableau de bord". Manages the activities of collaborators.

TREASURER

Provides a financing service to the group, ensuring that business plans can be achieved and that treasury transactions take place with minimum costs. Manages the effect of currency movements in order to minimize loss potential and to maximize Group profits. Minimizes interest payments through pooling resources and to maximize return on surplus funds through professional investment policies.
