The Operations function at Pirelli Broadband Solutions manages production and distribution of every new product in order to maximize company earnings and profitability and ensure customer satisfaction and product quality.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Leads operational management for the Company, guarantees the achievement of profitability and quality targets of the products under his responsibility.
Defines the investment budget, allocation of projects and targets for each plant, collaborates with Outsourcer and Commercial functions for the management of mix/volume allocation.
Proposes make or buy strategies, guarantees new products introduction (NPI), collaborates with R & D for the definition of product roadmap.

NPPM MANAGER

Drives the New Product Introduction in order to meet or exceed the Customer requirements and the targets of Time To Market and Contribution Margin.
Defines and executes the NPI Manufacturing Plan, assures synchronisation of the NPI team with the R&D team in order to guarantee the effectiveness of the NPI Process.
Manages the NPI team in order to meet key targets of Costs, First Customer Shipment and Time To Quality and Volume.
Reports the NPI program status, highlights risks and proposes the related mitigation plan, escalates items whenever necessary.

MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Coordinates production by planning it, defining, managing, and controlling the supply chain, managing and coordinating NPI activity.

SR NPI ENGINEER

Handles all technical aspects of the production process in terms of tests and assembly for new products and released products;
Works in collaboration with the rest of the project team and Operations to assure that the product is designed, assembled and inspected in compliance with costs and in view of final quality;
Improves standardisation and reduction of production costs; and assures technological development of his own area and implements specific projects.

SR LOGISTIC & PLANNING

Consistently with Customer needs or forecasts, defines the plant or supplier production plan for which he is responsible;
Monitors production progress at the plant or suppliers and takes corrective measures, if necessary;
Organises the logistic chain for product distribution; and manages the administrative cycle: invoices, transport documents, inventories, etc.

SR QUALITY ASSURANCE

Defines the product quality plans for one or more families of products, interfacing with suppliers and customers; handles product defects; seeks the causes product and/or process anomalies and identifies, proposes, and implements adequate corrective measures.
Assures the continuity of information and documentation processes related to product quality; plans and executes the Reliability Demonstration Test (RDT). Plans and carries out audits at suppliers; and handles product returns and failure analysis and takes adequate corrective measures;
Interfaces with customers on qualitative aspects, quality reports and returns from field.
