Pirelli continued to grab the limelight at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show where it was once again partner of leading car manufacturers (including Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Daimler, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Volvo and Volkswagen) and benchmark for an automotive industry on the constant lookout for innovation.

The event witnessed the unveiling of a special edition of the CinturatoTM P1 whose design is reminiscent of tyres from the first half of the 20th century, combining performance with the technology and sustainability of the new CinturatoTM. With 21” wheel rim and different axle sizes (front 125/60 R21 and rear 145/50 R21), this special version of the CinturatoTM P1 is the result of Pirelli’s technological partnership with Audi.

Furthermore, many of the most striking vehicles at the show were also fitted with P ZeroTM, CinturatoTM and ScorpionTM: premium tyres combining sustainability and safety with top performance.

A primary example of the partnership between Pirelli and luxury car manufacturers is the original equipment fitment of P ZeroTM tyres on the new Porsche Carrera 911 (front 245/35 ZR20 – 91Y, rear 295/30 ZR20 -101Y). Pirelli technology and performance will also feature on the Turbo version of the Carrera to be launched in the coming months.
