It’s been another fantastic year for Pirelli in World and British Motocross as the company celebrated title successes, continued their involvement with the exciting Red Bull Pro National Championship and introduced new tyres into the series.

Internationally Pirelli continued their Motocross dominance to take both MX1 and MX2 FIM Motocross World Championships, with Antonio Cairoli and Ken Roczen, to amass an incredible 56 World titles!

Meanwhile closer to home young MX star Elliott Banks Browne tied up the Red Bull Pro National MX2 series but finished the British Championship series injured. Pirelli support a wide plethora of teams in both series including Elliott’s DB Honda Racing, the official Suzuki GB squad; Relentless by TAS Suzuki, HM Plant KTM, Lanes Kawasaki, Samsung Yamaha, TM UK and Buildbase CCM.

Pirelli again heavily supported the Red Bull series with a supply and fitment service but really pulled out the stops at the final round at Culham; by showcasing the latest tyres, only recently launched at the World MX Championship in Italy.

The latest Pirelli Scorpion tyres were on display with different tread patterns and characteristics. Of particular interest was the all new Scorpion MX Mid Hard 554 giving excellent traction even in difficult conditions such as compact dirt and stones, with a special dedicated compound for outstanding grip in lateral sliding control and a new tread layout for tear resistance. Other new tyre sizes were introduced in the popular Scorpion MX eXTra X in normal and minicross sizes. There was also a new Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 new size of 110/85 – 19.

Pirelli Racing Manager Jason Griffiths had this to say, “It’s been a great year for Pirelli MX both home and abroad! We particularly enjoyed bringing the new tyre technology and sizes for the riders to view at the last Red Bull round and listening to all their positive feedback.”
