Pirelli’s Cold Weather tyres have been developed to get you to your destination safely in the coldest months of the year. Their advanced features equip them with the right balance between comfort and performance avoiding the risks associated with winter roads.
Driving with summer tyres during the winter season is risky. Indeed, when the temperature drops to or below +7°C, they lose the elasticity which ensures the necessary performance in rain, snow and ice.
The most important argument in favour of Cold Weather tyres is, of course, their greater safety. The advantages are clearly visible in comparative tests with summer tyres. Cold Weather tyres give a much shorter braking distance on wet or snow-covered road surfaces, at temperatures below +7°C.

This must be accompanied by a valid receipt clearly detailing the product name and date of purchase. Credit card slips or photocopies of receipts will not be accepted. Altered, copied, damaged or defaced applications will be void. Closing date for receipt of applications is 31st December 2011. You will receive an E Mail from Pirelli Tyres Limited confirming receipt of your entry and confirming the two days you have predicted will be the coldest between 1st January 2012 and 29th February 2012 (inclusive). No further correspondence/E Mails will be sent to you by Pirelli Tyres Limited. Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicant. Promoter accepts no responsibility for applications/receipts lost, delayed or damaged in the post. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery if the average UK daily temperature between 1st January 2012 and 29th February 2012 (inclusive) is seven degrees celsius or higher for more than 30 days (whether consecutive or not), Pirelli will refund 50% of the purchase price of your tyres. The purchase price excludes fitting and any other associated costs.
If you have correctly guessed and indicated on your entry form the two coldest dates during January and February 2012, you will be awarded a cash prize of £1,000.
The temperature records from the Met Office are derived from hourly gridded temperature analyses. For each hour temperature observations from the Met Office network will be used to calculate the current temperature for the UK. The Met Office will calculate the average air temperature over the UK land area for each hour (by averaging the gridded reference points) and then calculate the daily average temperature for the UK. The Met Office will provide this information on a daily basis between 1st January 2012 and 29th February 2012 inclusive. The daily average temperatures will be available online at www.pirelli.co.uk/winterpromo. Only this data will be accepted for the purpose of this promotion. The Met Office does not endorse, support or agree with the opinions, aims or objectives of Pirelli Tyres Ltd in any way.
At the end of the promotional period (29th February 2012) if the average UK daily temperature between 1st January 2012 and 29th February 2012 is seven degrees celsius or higher for more than 30 days (whether consecutive or not), you will be able to claim your refund. Full details of how to claim can be found on the website www.pirelli.co.uk/winterpromo, or E Mail ecrmtyres.gb@pirelli.com. The closing date for claims is 31st March 2012. Claims received after 31st March 2012 will not be processed.
Registrants to this promotion who have purchased a minimum of four Pirelli Cold Weather tyres (patterns quoted above) will receive a Pirelli Winter Sottozero™ wristband. Purchases of tyres with a rim diameter equal to or greater than 17” will receive a Pirelli Winter Sottozero™ wristband, a Pirelli snow shovel and a Pirelli ice scraper. Gifts will be dispatched within 28 days of receipt of registration form.
