Pirelli hits the Frankfurt Motor Show next week confirming itself as a headliner at the stands of leading vehicle manufacturers and a benchmark for the cutting edge of the automotive industry. Two years on, Pirelli returns to the traditional Frankfurt showcase with P Zero, Cinturato and Scorpion tires. These are premium tires no longer associated with performance alone, but increasingly synonymous with sustainability and safety – values that Pirelli guarantees thanks to its state-of-the-art skills and technology.
At this international exhibition featuring all the very latest in automobiles, Pirelli is focusing on a tire offering a stylish, original design packed with environmental and technological solutions: Cinturato P1 special edition, a tire whose design is evocative of the mid 20th century (like those of the renowned Isotta Fraschini), and whose performance upholds the technology and sustainability of the new Cinturato. With 21″ wheel rim and different sizes between front axle (125/60 R21) and rear axle (145/50 R21), the Cinturato P1 “Special Edition” is the result of Pirelli’s technological partnership with one of the car industry’s giants and will be unveiled on the electric concept car when the show opens, first to trade press and then the general public.
September 15th, Pirelli’s family of tires will be playing a leading role at the stands of Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Daimler, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Volvo and Volkswagen.
Flagship and sports models at the German exhibition have turned to the performance and reliability of P Zero ultra-high-performance tires. Developed by Pirelli researchers to aid and enhance performance, P Zero offers increasingly higher levels of driving pleasure and safety.
A premier original equipment fitment further bolstering the partnership between Pirelli and Porsche can be seen on the new Carrera 911 that is supplied with P Zero tires (front 245/35 ZR20 (91Y), rear 295/30 ZR20 (101Y)). Porsche will also feature Pirelli technology and performance on the Turbo version of the Carrera to be launched in the coming months.
Frankfurt also sees confirmation of the longstanding partnership between Maserati and Pirelli. The Trident badge is fitted with Pirelli tires: Gran Turismo MC Stradale, Gran Cabrio and Quattroporte GTS.
Pirelli is fitted as standard on all Lamborghinis: at its stand in Frankfurt the Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer will be unveiling its latest supercars with Pirelli original equipment tires.
Bentley also grants across-the-board approval as Pirelli tires are original equipment featured on almost all the manufacturer’s flagship models. Bentley’s new Continental GTC Convertible will be making its world debut at the show.
Ferrari and Jaguar also rely on Pirelli performance and technology: the P Zero is approved for the new 458 Spider and the new Jaguar XKR-S is fitted with P Zero Corsa.
The Group’s green philosophy will also be well represented at the Frankfurt Motor Show: environmental friendliness and energy efficiency are the characteristics guaranteed by the Cinturato P1, Cinturato P7 and Scorpion Verde on display at the stands of leading car manufacturers. The new BMW 1 Series is fitted with Cinturato P1 (195/55R16) and Cinturato P7 (205/55R16).
Pirelli P Zero, Cinturato P7 and Scorpion Verde are also an original equipment fitment on Daimler autos: The new B-Class is fitted with Cinturato P7 (225/45R17 91V), P Zero for the various CLS versions, S500 and CL500. Scorpion Verde tires in various sizes are also an original equipment fitment for the Daimler M-Class.
Pirelli consolidates its role as technological partner of other important German car manufacturers, Volkswagen and Audi. The Volkswagen Golf is fitted with the Pirelli P Zero (235/35ZR19 (91Y)), while the new Audi Q3 utilises the 17″ (235/55R17 99V) and 18″ (235/55R17 99V) Scorpion Verde and the 19″ (255/40R19 100Y) P Zero.
Volvo also grants Pirelli tires across-the-board approval: the P Zero Rosso and Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico are an OEM fitment on the XC60, XC70, XC90, V70 and S80. The latest Land Rovers also feature a Pirelli OEM fitment.
Pirelli is also a part of the cars of the future already displayed in Frankfurt. The Show’s most futuristic and distinctive concept cars are fitted with Pirelli tires.
