Pirelli Tire North America is a major sponsor of the 2010 International Tire Exhibition and Conference (ITEC). An educational forum that encompasses everyone in the North American tire industry, ITEC 2010 will cover tire technology and manufacturing, distribution and recycling September 21-23 in Cleveland, Ohio at the Cleveland I-X Center. Pirelli will be on hand as an exhibitor in booth No. 610 to assist dealers in learning how to increase their profits, encourage consumer satisfaction, garner repeat purchases and create customer loyalty through Pirelli sales programs.
For more than a century, Pirelli’s constant innovation, aggressive brand management strategies and consistent, prioritized commitment to its dealers has resulted in Pirelli’s place as Original Equipment on the World’s Finest and as the premium brand of choice for over 10,000 distributors and retailers worldwide. Pirelli’s North American sales operations focus on dealer support through aggressive sales margins for dealers, controls on distribution channels benefitting independent dealers as well as marketing and promotional dealer support programs.
“We’re big supporters of the tire dealer part of our industry – it is how we go to market,” said Tom Gravalos, Pirelli Tire North America’s Vice President of, Marketing, Motorsports and Original Equipment, “So it makes sense for us to support an event that helps dealers thrive.
“Our competitive strength is founded on our world class dealer support, our technological and research capabilities and the professional skills of our people. We are a company that has embraced the challenge of new technologies and the creation of value for our dealers. Our priority is to improve our performance and minimize the environmental impact of our production processes and products. To that end, a full 40% of Pirelli’s products will be environmentally-friendly by 2012, and that’s something everyone can get behind.”
Pirelli’s brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and performance are ranked among the highest in the tire industry by consumers, and its recent JD Power and Associates award – including ranking highest in Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction for Performance/Sport; Highest in Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction for Car/Compact Van Vehicles; Highest in Original Equipment Tire Satisfaction for Mass Market/Non-Luxury Vehicles; and Consumer Excellence for Original Equipment Tires for Passenger Vehicles support those claims.
In addition, Pirelli’s overall sustainability is paramount in the company’s success, and for the fourth year in a row Pirelli was confirmed world leader in the Autoparts and Tires sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe and Dow Jones Sustainability World indexes. For the second year in a row, Pirelli was also the only Italian company to be ranked as world leader in its sector.
Pirelli Tire North America designs, develops, manufactures and markets tires for passenger vehicles in both the original equipment and replacement markets as well as markets and distributes tires for motorcycles and motorsports. Located in Rome, Georgia, Pirelli’s Modular Integrated Robotized System (MIRS) employs state-of-the-art technology to manufacture tires for both export and domestic markets.
