Guillermo Martínez

Born in Bahía Blanca (Argentina) in 1962, Guillermo Martínez moved first to Buenos Aires in 1985, where he graduated in mathematics, then to Oxford, England.

In 1982 he won the Premio del Fondo Nacional de las Artes with the book of short stories Vast Hell, followed by the publication of several novels, including The Oxford Murders, translated into 35 languages and on which a film was based. He is also the author of the essay Borges and Mathematics.
