Eco Technology
Pirelli Eco Technology is active in the production a wide range of latest generation Feelpure antiparticulate filters and of low environmental impact fuels (such as Gecam™ white diesel).
The company holds proprietary technology called Feelpure, which is a filter system based on silicon carbide, which can reduce particulate emissions of diesel engines by more than 95%.
The Feelpure™ particulate filters produced in the new totally automated factory in Romania, permit to circulate freely in urban areas where vehicles with high polluting emissions are prohibited: it was the first in Italy to receive homologation, and is certified for access to limited traffic areas in Switzerland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom. In 2009 Pirelli Eco Technology has obtained the homologation in China (Beijing) and Germany.
Pirelli Eco Technology has a commercial presence in the main European markets through a network of distributors and installers. It is also present in China, where the construction of a particulate filters plant has begun in 2010 within the Pirelli group’s production facility in the province of Shandong.
