Married and with one son.

Graduated magna cum laude in jurisprudence at the Milan  State University in June 1992, admitted to Milan Bar in 1995.

Managed legal affairs for Natural Gas Sector, Edison S.p.A. from 1996 to 1998. Joined SHELL Italia S.p.A., becoming, in 1999, responsible for the Legal Department reporting directly to the country's Managing Director.

In September 2000 joined Pirelli S.p.A. as head of the Corporate Legal Affairs Division reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Legal Affairs to become in 2003, Director of Corporate Legal Affairs of Pirelli &C S.p.a,- after the merger with Pirelli & C S.a.p.a. - reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
