PIRELLI SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WORLDWIDE LEADER IN AUTOPARTS AND TYRE SECTOR

Pirelli is a proven worldwide leader in Auto parts and  Tyre industry for the third consecutive year in the Dow Jones sustainability indexes written by the Sustainable Asset Management Group (SAM).

Moreover, Pirelli is the one and only Italian company to have become industry leader and to have obtained a global rating of 88% (11 percentage points more compared to 2008) against an industry average fixed at 48%.
The assessment conducted by SAM is based on three aspects: the economic aspect, wherein Pirelli has obtained a rating of 91% (best score of the entire industry); the environmental aspect (87%) and the corporate aspect (88%: best score of the industry).

In particular, Pirelli has been awarded in the following areas: Health & Safety, Brand Management, Innovation Management, Human Capital development, Labour practice indicators, Talent attraction & retention, Environmental Reporting, Climate Strategy. Standards for Suppliers

In 2002, Pirelli entered the European Dow Jones Sustainability STOXX index (DJSI STOXX) and has been in the Dow Jones Sustainability World index for many years now (together with Denso Corp, Michelin and Johnson Control Inc).
