The Operations function defines and implements the common methods and industrial processes of different businesses in order to maximize efficiency and innovate the production process.
Ensures production of all product families allocated by the Supply Chain to plants, consistently with market demand.

TYRE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Guides the logistic activities and technical development and updating of machinery and equipment needed for production. Prepares Strategic Plans within the industrial Sector in terms of: production allocation, industrial efficiency and production costs, in line with Commercial Plans and sector business objectives. Ensures logistic systems development to improve the quality of customer services. Guarantees the right balance between production system and plan Sector integration flows. Supports the Group health and environment policy, assuring compliance with business objectives and related norms and laws.
Assures development and improvement of production equipment at the Sector level in line with industrial requirements. Guides the standardization of technical choices in terms of design criteria, installation and maintenance methodology. Co-operates with Strategic Planning & Investment area to provide technical support for evaluation proposals. Maintains contacts with external suppliers to keep up to date any technical information on equipment. Supports the Purchasing function for negotiations with suppliers. Manages strategic technical projects Supports any Affiliate and Plant technical resources.
Guarantees the production plan (volume, mix, time) and minimization of transformation cost. Steers of investment to the optimum productive level. Assures quality, safety and compliance with law. Deploys and develop the continuous improvement program. Ensures coherence with Sector guide lines. Manages industrial relations.
Directs and coordinates the operation of the manufacturing facilities for the sector within the country; leads the industrial management of all Plants in the Country in line with Sector Guidelines and guarantees the achievement of profitability and quality targets of the plants under his/her responsibility. He also collaborates with Logistics and Commercial functions for the management of mix/volume allocation, and ensures the logistic systems development to improve the quality client services. He represents the Company in dealing with external contacts, both within the industry and the local community, and supports the group policy related to Health and Environment, assuring the respect of Business objectives and related norms and laws.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER
Ensures the development and execution of projects aimed at achieving the technical/organizational improvements agreed with the Management.. Ensures the optimum use of the available resources through the development of efficiency improvement systems for the various factors of production. Co-operates with Factory Functions so as to create synergies geared to the achievement of TPM objectives.
Ensures the implementation of production programs. Ensures product controls during the production process. Monitors the state of advancement of production, dealing with any anomalies and technical problems. Ensures the proper management of the equipment and materials assigned to him. Ensures the management and development of his staff. Ensures observance of health, safety and environmental norms and legislation. Guarantees the optimal start-up of new production lines.
SENIOR PRODUCTION EFFICENCY SPECIALIST
On the basis of input from his superior, studies and develops innovative production processes which increasingly respond to the qualitative needs of the product, flexibility and plant productivity. Proposes, through the analysis and evaluation of productive and economic parameters, actions designed to optimize product costs and quality.
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING MANAGER
Ensures the efficiency of and reliability of factory machinery, plant and equipment, including through the programming and execution of maintenance. He ensures the design and manages the implementation of modifications and adaptations to lines and to machinery. He also ensures the conformity of plant and industrial services to the reference norms, and the updating of technical know-how, including through training initiatives.
He proposes and exploits - and on receipt of authorisation - manages investments aimed at the development/improvement of the productivity of plant/general services, and works so as to achieve the reduction/optimisation of maintenance costs and compliance with the allocated budget.
