Appraisal and Assessment

The Performance Management Tool is the online tool for measuring performance that was introduced at the Group level in 2007 and gradually extended to all the staff within Pirelli Group.
In 2009, the process involved over 4,700 employees, more than 85% of whom have received performance objectives to pursue over the course of the year.
The Performance Management Tool is of enormous importance both for managing employee skills and promoting their continuing education. A specific space is dedicated inside the tool, so that the supervisor and employee may discuss the employee's training needs and enter them on the PM.

The Performance Management Process, regularly carried out every year, consists of 3 main phases:

- Opening : manager and delegate define working priorities and training activities

- Mid Year: manager and delegate update objectives if something is changed

- Closing: manager and delegate meet each other for final feedback interview
