On April 28, 1906 Milan opened the International Exposition in commemoration of the Sempione tunnel. Its theme was "Science, the city and life", the dynamism that underlies all transport. Today, Milan (re)opens the gates to the Universal esposition 109 years later, on May 1, 2015. This time its theme is "Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life".

MARINA ZUMI Marina Zumi is an Argentian born (1983), but São Paulo based, artist. She has a fashion design’s background which contributed to define her colorful and feminine style.
CHRISTIAN KRÄMER AKA DOME The illustrator and street artist DOME, born in 1975, lives and creates his art in Karlsruhe. Fascinated by art in the streets, he found his niche creating art that examines the human condition in a surrealistic manner.
ALEXEY LUKA Alexey Luka, born in 1983 and based in Moscow, is one of the most progressive young Russian artists and illustrators. He began his artistic career with graffiti, before to study on the benches of the Moscow Architectural Institute.

2015 CALENDAR BY STEVEN MEISEL UNVEILED IN MILAN
The 2015 edition by Steven Meisel brings the total number of Pirelli Calendars so far to 42.
Steven Meisel brought the absolute centrality of women back to the Pirelli Calendar, titled this year Calendar Girls 2015, in its most classic format. 12 months in 12 shots (plus the cover) and the 12 girls in question are top and emerging models: the Americans Gigi Hadid, Candice Huffine, Carolyn Murphy and Cameron Russell, the Brazilians Isabeli Fontana, Adriana Lima and Raquel Zimmermann, Karen Elson from England, the Puerto Rican Joan Small, the Russians Natalia Vodianova and Sasha Luss, as well as Anna Ewers from Germany.

A cultural initiative conceived and desired by Pirelli to tell the story of work and of the workers that have represented the Pirelli Group, day in and day out, for 140 years.
From the stories of the workers, the book "Pirelli stories of work. Men, machines and ideas" was born, published by Mondadori. A homage to the centenary history of the Group which gathers images from the origins to the present day.

In the mid-seventies Pirelli invented the low profile tyre: it's called P7 and it's one of the most significant inventions after the radial Cinturato, driving force of a transfer of knowledge from races to the mass market.The racing debut of the P7 takes place at the Rally of the Four Regions in 1974, where the "dragon" Munari leads Stratos to victory.
